How to add .rdl report to NCS Reporting Interface
Introduction
The purpose of this article is to give an overview on how to add .rdl report to Nixxis Contact Suite (NCS) Reporting Interface, and includes the detailed basic steps/required settings to:
1. Upload the .rdl file to the SQL Reporting Server.
2. Edit the parameters of the report.
3. Name the report.
4. Configure the parameters of the report.
5. Configure the data source.
6. View the new report on NCS.
1. .rdl file upload
1.1. Upload the .rdl file to the SQL Reporting Server.
a. Access the SQL Server Reporting services web portal
b. Open the folder Nixxis reports
c. Click on Upload
d. Browse for the .rdl file on your PC and click on Open
The new report will appear in the list of reports. For example, here the report AgentStatutsReport.rdl has been uploaded
2. Report parameters
2.1. Editing parameters
a. Edit the parameters by clicking on the 3 dots on the report and click on Manage.
2.2. Naming the report
a. Click on Properties on the left side and set the name of your report.
2.3. Parameters configuration
a. Click on Parameters on the left side and configure the parameters.
For this example, we need to change the Visibility of the field user from Internal to Visible.
b. Click on Apply to save changes.
2.4. Data sources configuration
a. Click on Data Sources and configure the data source based on your environment.
Those are the basic settings needed for a report to work. If need be, you can specify any other parameters available on this configuration page.(Caching, Security, etc).
3. Viewing the report
3.1. NCS Reporting Interface
a. Open the NCS client.
b. Go to the Reporting Tool.
c. The new report will be visible in the list.
