NCS Installation
The Nixxis Client Desktop software is available at the following link:
http://[FQDN]:8088/Provisioning/ClientSoftware.zip
Where FQDN corresponds to the client's assigned domain name.
Once downloaded on your machine, unblock the file and extract the "ClientSoftware" folder from the archive into the "Program Files" directory (or another location of your choice).
Launch NixxisClientDesktop.exe (a desktop shortcut can be created for easy access).
After establishing a connection to the server, all necessary files will be downloaded locally into the directory. It is essential for the user to have write permissions on this directory.
First Connection
During the first connection, the service URL needs to be provided.
It will not be necessary to enter it every time you log in because the instance will save the link entered during the first connection.
To change the service URL, simply press CTRL + Shift and double-click on the application.
Login Page
To log in, a user needs an account ID, a password and an extension ;
- Account : Enter the account name or the number of an existing user account (Numeric or Alphanumeric)
- Password : If the user has an assigned password, enter it here
- Extension : The short code or telephone extension of the user
Warning : If an agent does not provide the extension field, calls will not reach their phone.
Warning : If the user account or password is incorrect or non-existent, the message "Unable to connect" will appear. Close this message by clicking 'OK'.
Please try again or contact your administrator.
Extension
This is the phone extension used. The different extensions are defined on the Nixxis application server based on the data entered in the administration tool. (direct line/landline/mobile/integrated softphone) Extensions can be registered on the NMS or appServer.
If an extension is directly associated with a user through the administration interface, the user can simply use "*" in the extension field to associate their phone extension.
Depending on the launched interface, it may or may not be necessary to enter an extension number.
- Agent: It is necessary to specify an "extension" when "voice" communication is expected (if the agent only handles email or chat, it is not required).
- Supervisor: It is necessary to specify an "extension" when the supervisor wants to perform monitoring or manual calls.
- Quality Auditor/Quality Controller: To perform monitoring, it is necessary to specify an "extension".
- Administrator: When the administration interface is launched to access the tool, it is not mandatory to enter an extension if no application change is planned. In any case, a account number must be entered.
Once the URL and username are entered, click on the 'OK' button to launch the Nixxis Contact Suite application.
If the user is only assigned to one profile, the interface linked to that profile will appear immediately without having to choose.
